Programs & charities we support

Homelessness in our world is a huge concern and we want to help as much as possible.  With our ever changing economy that is currently affecting most in a negative way, we need relief .  There are assistance options out there.  We have listed pantries, assistance programs and more, here. We work directly with Changing Footprints, Cornerstone Ministries, Wheeler Mission and Wellspring (in the past).

We have been made aware of several charities that existed that we didn't even know there was a need for.  We will take specific donations that we get and immediately send them to other organizations.

Little Angel Gowns: wedding dresses and some other formal gowns

Random acts of flowers:  They get our vases.

Birthline:  we have some amazingly creative people who make blankets for them.

Once Upon a Prom and the Glass slipper:  they take formal gowns for homecoming and prom dress giveaways.

Animal Care and Control: they get blankets, towels and washcloths.

SVDP: all of our unwanted clothing, they have a clothes recycling program.

We recognize that education is one of the most important areas of improvement in our communities.  Eventually we will create a scholarship fund and we want to encourage kiddos to go further in the trades.  Tradesmen are retiring by the dozens and there aren't enough young people to replace them. Education programs we work with are near and dear to our hearts.

Perry Township schools: Work closely with the nurses to help fill needs within the district.

There are a few folks we work with directly in Franklin Township as well.

The seniors in our community are the most vulnerable and under supported demographic.  Even as a child, the elderly were my favorite people.  I found peace while visiting the nursing home with family and church members.  I want to do everything I can to protect the prior generation.  We have so very much to learn from them.  That is why we have chosen to work with senior focused missions.

Medical care is something that a lot of members of our community do not have access to.  There could be several reasons for this, cost, availability, lack of transportation, lack of coverage or trauma related to prior life experiences.

Resources to help with the little ones in your life.  Help from newborn to 18, biological, foster, kinship and adoption support.  No one wrote a step-by-step book on how to be a parent.  It is the most important, difficult and rewarding job you'll ever have.  The resources we have compiled are here to help you in difficult situations.

I don't know about you, but I have a hard time trusting people especially when they are doing a job I don't know how to do.  Every one of every age needs things done around the house.  If you are not able to do those things this will be a list of repair service people who could come help.  The folks I have listed are either people we have worked with directly (our standards are very high) and I would work with again or they are people who come highly recommended.
